TESTIMONIALS

We just wanted to thank you so much for the enormous amount of effort and time you both have put in this weekend. According to my son, William, it was brilliant!!! He had so much fun and learned a lot. Hopefully he will hold onto to the skills he has learned and put them to good use in the games to come.
Kristine Wallace (Halswell United, Christchurch. June 2010)

Just to let you know how awesome my son Kylan Harrison thinks you guys and the 82 Academy are. He came home and gave you a guys a "heaps better, more fun and learned lots of new stuff" wrap.......that's pretty damn good coming from my 10 year old who's usually pretty critical about most new experiences....so a big "thumbs up" for the 82 Academy and for yourself. He'll certainly be back for more given the opportunity.
Andrew Harrison (Halswell United, Christchurch. June 2010)

I would just like to say how fabulous I thought the coaches (and the experience) were. Although I only observed the World Cup at the end I was very impressed by the way your guys worked. Throughout the matches I never heard or saw any angry shouts or exasperated body language, but what I did hear was lots of positive guidance and encouragement, leadership by example, quiet feedback and kids (and adults!) having fun. Its obvious that the beautiful game is more than a game to your team and I’m grateful that they have taken the time to share their knowledge and the joy of the game with our kids.
Rachael Hanna (Rathkeale College. June 2010)

A huge thank you to Chris, Richard and the team for the training weekend in Masterton. From drop off I was very impressed with the coaches rapport with the children. The weekend was well organised and structured. Joshua had an absolute fantastic time and as soon as he got in the car to go home he wanted to book his tickets to Runaway Bay in Brisbane, which are now booked! He really loved the way you talked to him like an adult and would discuss what you were teaching and how to take the skills into the game. Josh cant wait to see you in Brisbane.
Peti Buckley (Rathkeale College. June 2010)

Whilst they were some of the younger ones attending (Harrison 8, and Caitlin 9), they certainly enjoyed it - the small things, like the fact that the coaches remembered their names, the way the coaches spelt out the format at the start of each session, explained what the skill focus was going to be, and then when they'd be moving into games etc, all makes a difference. Also, for Harrison especially, having the coaches actively involved on the field during game play was invaluable - the big thing with grade 8 is learning field positioning - you can have all the fancy skills in the world, but if you don't find space, you're of limited use!
Tracey Burns (Tauranga. May 2010)

Thanks so much for a fantastic four days. Hamish well and truly enjoyed the days with your coaches and especially meeting Ricki and the bonus of a photo. He learnt some new skills and was able to polish up some older ones, he realises that there is more to learn. so I thank you for that. For a boy who dreams of being a professional footballer your academy is invaluable. keep up the good work.
Janine Pugh (Queenstown. April 2010)

Just a note to say thank you for the wonderful opportunity for James to attend the 82 Football Academy in Queenstown this week. They all had a brilliant few days training. Very much appreciated – thank you. Note-James Barlow (adidas scholarship recipient)
Sonya Barlow (Queenstown. April 2010)

I just wanted to send a congratulations email to you to acknowledge the fantastic weekend of football that our children had with the 82 Football Academy and coaching. Shania and Brooklyn absolutely loved it. The whole weekend from start to finish was well planned and organised. It is great to see such enthusiastic coaches and children, and it is with huge thanks to you all that our children were able to benefit from it.
Tina Heath (Hamilton. February 2010)

A truly inspirational day for players young and not so young! Thank you to everyone involved with 82 for turning a dream into reality! You all are awesome!
Beverley Ceci (Queenstown Youth. January 2010)

Thanks 82 for Sam having such a fantastic time at the academy in Queenstown, it was such an inspiration to see all the children and adults benefit from such an organised and positive experience and giving everyone the chance to fulfil their dreams. Fabulous says it all.
Penny Flatt (Queenstown Youth. January 2010)

Willem has had a tremendous 4 days & feels extremely positive about his experience. Tonight he said "This has been the best day of my life!" Willem thoroughly loved working with Richard & thought meeting Ricki was incredible. Many thanks for such a super course.
Rebecca Ebbinge (Queenstown Junior. January 2010)

Clara, Conor, and Cillian had a fantastic time. Andrew and I were really impressed with the organisation and everyone who was involved with it. Everyone so obviously liked children and soccer- and that was great to see!!!! I was also extremely impressed, as I told you already, that you had physiotherapists there- and a doctor. So we have told all our friends about you :)
Petra Butler (Queenstown Junior. January 2010)

Just wanted to say thank you and well done on a great job. Joe really enjoyed himself and I thought the whole thing was very well organised.
Richard Bell (Queenstown Junior. January 2010)

Just wanted to compliment you all on the fantastic organisation and professional manner in which the camp has been run. Finn has had an absolutely brilliant past four days. He doesn't want it to end. He has commented on what a good selection of boys, brilliant group of coaches and positive feel to the whole process. The level of coaching and rapport the coaches had with the boys has impacted well on them, and they have spoken with awe and respect about them. Infact over the week, we have only heard positives from the boys as they drive to and from jacks point each day. I was especially impressed with the introduction given day one and appreciated the clear and direct speaking, often lacking in the sporting arena. We believe Finn has gained an even deeper understanding of looking out for himself, in his pursuit of greater things in 'all things football!' He remains passionate about the game but is also becoming so much more aware of, and balanced in all the other things mentally and physically that will help him become a better player and contributor to the game. For your part in this development we thank you most sincerely and look forward to hearing where to next!
Clare Thomas-Moore & Nigel Moore (Queenstown Youth. Janaury 2010)

Well done, I have been super impressed with the clinic you are running at Jack's Point. It is truly professional and a credit to all your hard work.
Tim Hawkins (Queenstown Junior. January 2010)

It was very humbling seeing Ricki's vision of running a ‘world class’ football academy become a reality. Richard and his team of great coaches made every child feel special and every single child improved immensely throughout the academy. Matthew and Sam grew tremendously in skill and confidence throughout the 4 days and both have said “it was the best experience ever”.We are not easily impressed but we were super impressed by what you have all achieved. It truly was a ‘world class event’ and our family are very proud to be associated with the 82 Football Academy.
Chris and Marie Boon (Queenstown Junior. January 2010)

I would like to thank you for the fantastic football experience you provided for Eli. He really enjoyed himself and it is obvious that he has learnt a lot. The organisation and coaching was first rate. I was most impressed with the consistently positive and supportive attitude amongst the coaches and supporting crew towards the children and parents. I really appreciated the way that the coaches focus was on developing the children's play irrespective of what level of ability they had. The course exceeded all expectations and it was well worth the trip down from Wellington.
Rod Scott (Queenstown Junior. January 2010)
